DIY tile installation

Installation of tiles is a very difficult trade. The deal has many different facets, and it requires a lot of knowledge to do the job correctly. Every day I see problems in the facilities that could really have been geared to basic knowledge and simple tricks in the trade, which can make people work and live with their floor tile installation atlanta much better.

Tip # 1-Thinset

Always use a set of high adhesion rows. Let me repeat: Always use a high-adhesion adapter. This can only create or destroy a tile installation. Using the "cheapest" Thinset bag is not an acceptable option, no matter what John tells you at Home Depot or Lowe's. Adhesion strength is measured in PSI. You want a set of accessories that gives you at least a 300-350 PSI bond strength, whether you're installing porcelain or ceramic or stone. In the worst case, choose a good set of the modified mid-range polymer so you get a good start.

Tip # 2 - Underlayment

This is the basis of the installation. Believe it or not, the installation of tiles is as good as its base and any problem you may have with the subfloor or subfloor. Be sure to install the back cover or monitor exactly according to the manufacturer's suggestions or requirements. Remember that any problem with your subfloor or bottom layer is transferred and displayed on the visible part of the installation, this is just a matter of time.

Tip # 3 "Write" the back of your tile

All porcelain or stone can be difficult to stick together. This does not mean that it should only be placed in the set. You must make sure that you have a good amount of contact with Thinset kits at least 85%. To do this, take the flat part of your trowel and a small amount of row and force it into a thin layer on the back of the tile. This creates a good connection of thin-skinned with the tile. This is always the set to ensure a great bond between the tile and the set.
